Finding your way in the weightloss jungle

If you are looking for information on the best ways to loose weight available these days, it’s not an easy task.  There’s a flood of information, books, websites, forums and tv shows, each trying to convince you about the merit of a new, fad diet.  Others try to sell you the new miracle pill that will eat your extra fat in a minute, do the dishes and raise your kids…

The reality though is not that simple.  Research over the last decade in the weightloss field  did not found any easy cure, unfortunalety.  On the contrary, it just added more questions marks.  Any time a new hope appear, it is debunked not long after.

So, what should you do?  Just throw the towel, sit in front on your TV and forget about it?  Of course not.

Weightloss is still possible, but there is no easy way out.  Eat right, be more physically active, and, most importantly, be consistent.  I repeat: be consistent.  Patience and determination are your hidden weapons to win the battle.  The way to weighloss is a slow ride, so dont expect results overnight.  Concentrate on your lifestyle, change bads habits, one at a time.  And be realist about what to expect.  You should not loose more that about 1-2 pounds a week.  More than that and you are at risk of become demotivated over the run.
