Dr. Oz Champions HCG Diet Protocol, as HCG Activator? Weight Loss Pill Soars to the Number One Best-Selling Diet Support Supplement on GNC.com

Golden, CO (PRWEB) June 10, 2011

HCG (or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, as it is medically known) has rapidly gained in popularity due to the incredibly impressive weight-loss success stories and word of mouth, along with recent media coverage, such as the article featuring Dr. Oz in the June 27 issue of FIRST for Women magazine. Most exciting now, though, is it?s possible to enjoy the powerful effects of HCG without the costly, painful injections: with HCG Activator? (http://www.hcgactivator.com/direct.html?&n=100&tsi=00117), the hottest new diet support product on the nation?s largest retailer of specialty nutritional supplements website, GNC.com.

So what is HCG? Is it safe? And, who should be using it? These are the questions being asked by thousands of dieters across America.

HCG is a naturally occurring hormone that triggers the hypothalamus to release and mobilize any extra fat the body is carrying to use as an energy or “food” source. Therefore, when an individual goes on a very low calorie diet (typically 500 to 1500 calories per day, eating only specific foods), the HCG helps make up the difference in the calories it needs to function by using stored fat as food. As a result, the individual burns fat more quickly, from areas that are typically harder to reduce. An additional benefit of HCG is individuals feel less hunger cravings and desires to snack between meals, despite undergoing the restrictive-calorie diet. This helps them maintain the diet and improve motivation to continue.

HCG is normally administrated by a medical doctor via injection and is very costly and painful?costing upwards of $ 1,200 per month, with painful daily injections. There are also so-called HCG homeopathic drops or liquids available, but the FDA has called all these drops claiming to ?contain? HCG as fraudulent, masquerading as drugs, and sold illegally. HCG Activator, on the other hand, does not contain any HCG, so it is not a drug. Rather, it stimulates the body?s own hormones, using scientifically validated ingredients, and is delivered in a dietary supplement pill. HCG Activator does not claim to be a “miracle pill” but instead uses a scientific dietary formula and medically researched protocol based on Dr. Simeons? diet, proven to reduce obesity, excess weight, and more specifically bodyfat.

Dr. Oz has not only talked about HCG as a weight-loss method on his show and now in the latest issue of FIRST for Women magazine, but he even recommends following the protocol, given certain restrictions.

The makers of HCG Activator? agree with Dr. Oz in that when following the very low-calorie diet, there need to be certain restrictions. Including getting clearance from your personal medical provider before starting any diet or supplementation program. In addition, the very low calorie diet is not recommended long term. It should be followed no longer than 30 to 44 days before giving the body a break and allowing a new normal metabolic set-point to be created. And, the low-calorie diet should not be followed without the support of HCG, so the body doesn?t go into ?starvation mode,? making it even more difficult to lose weight. Finally, it is very important to ensure individuals are drinking enough water.

Given these considerations, HCG Activator, along with the HCG protocol, has been shown to help tens of thousands of people lose up to 30 pounds in a single month, without suffering from hunger pangs and sugar and snack cravings. It?s no wonder HCG Activator has become the nation?s largest vitamin retailer, GNC?s, number one selling diet product (http://www.gnc.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=2173983&cp=3593188), and as a result, has more than 100 positive customer reviews, as well as more positive 5-star reviews than other diet support product on their site.

In fact, Stephen Adele, President of Biogenetics (the makers of HCG Activator), commented, ?HCG Activator is a weight-loss pill that truly delivers on its promises; otherwise, it wouldn?t have more 5-star customer reviews than any other diet supplement on GNC.com. And we?re really proud of this fact, because we know it?s helping thousands of customers lose excess, unwanted bodyfat and completely changing their lives for the better.?

By visiting GNC.com and reading the reviews, browsing the HCG Activator community page on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/hcgactivator), or even asking friends, people all over America are discovering how successful HCG Activator users are happily losing up to a pound a day and over 30 pounds in one month. It?s no wonder HCG Activator has soared to the number one ?best-selling? spot on GNC.com and remained there for over 22 weeks straight and why the HCG Diet protocol has been talked about by Dr. Oz, and featured in FIRST for Women magazine, because it?s helping men and women across America enjoy incredibly fast, yet lasting weight losses.

Dangers of Exercise on the HCG Diet Protocol

Yes, you read that right; there are dangers to exercise while following the HCG diet protocol. These dangers are not necessarily life-threatening, nor should you remain completely inactive while on the HCG diet. However, strenuous exercise can very well sabotage your efforts at weight loss.

It’s a Medical Disorder

In our dysfunctional “blame the victim” culture, it is popular and even acceptable to point at overweight people and simply say they are lazy, self-indulgent and weak. Now, while there may in fact be a small number of individuals who do fit this description, the fact is that 98% of people who struggle with weight issues have physiological conditions over which they have no control. Moreover, no single set of physiological conditions are responsible for obesity in every individual.

Dr. Simeons on Obesity

Dr. A.T.W. Simeons was one of the first physicians to identify obesity as a pathologic condition with numerous and varied causes. One of these is natural selection. Since prehistoric times, excess body fat (particularly among women) has been seen in many cultures as a sign of wealth and fertility. Large women were considered desirable mates, and as a result, fatness became a genetic trait.

Dr. Simeons also noted that the invention of agriculture changed human eating habits significantly. In a paper entitled “Pounds and Inches,” he wrote:

“The institution of regular meals meant that man had to eat more than his body required at the moment of eating so as to tide him over until the next meal. Food rendered easily digestible suddenly flooded his body with nourishment of which he was in no need at the moment. Somehow, somewhere this surplus had to be stored.” (1954)

Dr. Simeons identified three types of fat, the third of which consists of adipose, an abnormal type of fat that is “locked up” and not normally available to the body as an energy source.

The Danger of Exercise

The heart of the HCG diet protocol is a Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD) of no more than 500 calories a day. Normally, this is a starvation diet and poses serious health risks. However, the use of HCG “unlocks” adipose deposits, forcing the body to obtain extra calories from this source.

The fact remains, however, that your body is already using calories at an extreme rate. While mild exercise can be helpful, strenuous exercise can actually cause too many calories to be used, causing a reaction that can be counterproductive to your weight loss efforts.
